The Annual Round of Class Teas Raises over £2000 !!!
The reception class parents completed the annual cycle of “class teas” combining the sale of homemade cakes, a second hand books and a game of “Sand straws” for the children. The event, as always, was well supported by the class parents who either helped by supplying some glorious home made cakes, staffed the stalls or demonstrated their support by coming along on the morning. A total of £350 was raised which has been given directly to Mrs Hunt to support the great job she does as Reception class teacher.
The now famous St Patrick’s Class teas are a great way to bring the parents together and are great fun for the children! They are also important for raising money to buy those little extras that help to enhance the children’s learning experience.
The teas always create a bit of friendly competition between the classes and this year was no different!! There were some particularly innovative ways of raising money including a raffle for a beautiful dolls house, a jewellery sale and plenty of interactive games for all the children.
Again we have to say a big thank you to all the parents who helped to make the class teas happen. The final scores on the doors were:-
| Year | Amount (£) |
|---|---|
| 6 | 211 |
| 5 | 230 |
| 4 | 320 |
| 3 | 324 |
| 2 | 400 |
| 1 | 440 |
| Reception | 350 |
Congratulations to Year 1 for becoming the unofficial Class tea Champions and thank you to everyone who helped to raise the grand total of £2275.
